1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using TreeCostCalc at treeremovalcostcalculator.me (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time, as described in Section 11.
2. Description of service
TreeCostCalc provides a free, browser-based calculator that generates estimated price ranges for tree removal, stump grinding, and related services, based on user-entered inputs (tree height, trunk diameter, species, ZIP code, and selected add-ons). We are an independent pricing tool — not a tree removal company, contractor, broker, or booking platform, and we do not perform, dispatch, or guarantee any tree service work.
3. Estimates are not quotes
⚠️ Figures produced by the calculator are estimates only, generated from general pricing data and the inputs you provide. They are not formal quotes, appraisals, or guarantees of actual cost. Real-world pricing depends on a physical site assessment by a licensed, insured professional. Always obtain written quotes from at least one ISA Certified Arborist® before authorizing any work.
We make reasonable efforts to keep our pricing methodology current and accurate, but we do not warrant that any estimate reflects the price you will actually be charged by any contractor.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the calculator or Site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its underlying code
- Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Site's content or pricing methodology without permission
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Site in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably generate
- Misrepresent estimates generated by our calculator as official quotes issued by us
5. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, graphics, logo, and underlying calculator code are owned by TreeCostCalc or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and use the calculator for personal, non-commercial purposes, but you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written consent.
6. Third-party links & services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, advertisements, or services (for example, resources on hiring an arborist). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Inclusion of a link does not imply our endorsement of that third party.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and calculator are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will match actual market pricing in your area.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TreeCostCalc and its owners, operators, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of money, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any estimate it generates, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TreeCostCalc and its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any estimate provided by the calculator in place of a professional assessment.
10. Governing law
